As the most successful and profitable car in the Peugeot range, the new 208 launch was a crucial one for the brand to remind customers of the features and benefits of their flagship car.

 

Working for London agency BD Network, my brief was to propose an art directional style across design and photography that I would later go on to apply to print and digital designs under the campaign title of 'Contagious Energy'.

Launched in a 'fiery orange' colour, the proposals mixed contrasting urban landscapes with lifestyle imagery. I sourced a range of suitable landscapes and used 3D renders of the car to produce a series of initial concept visuals. Once approved, I worked with Paris-based Continental Productions to find relevant landscapes in South Africa, where the car was shot on-location by photographer Nigel Harniman.

The outcome of the project resulted a range of printed brochures and launch material that demonstrated the features of the Peugeot 208 & GTi range. In addition, I designed a digital app across iOS and Android that allowed consumers to interact with the car using a 360º feature, customisable colour previews and interchangeable accessories.
