Jura Whisky is the only distillery on Jura – a small island off of the West Coast of Scotland.

Working for London agency BD Network, I illustrated a limited edition bottle for Jura and designed their UK & European campaign.

Battered by the Atlantic Ocean, it's West Coast is a rugged and stormy landscape. In contrast to this, the East Coast is calm and largely sheltered from the elements, which has led to the formation of sandy bays and tranquil beaches. This unique contrast between the two sides of the island are reflected in the two flavours of it's whisky –Sweet & Smoky / Origin & Superstition.

To demonstrate the individual tasting notes found in the whiskys, I produced a series of illustrations, framed within the distinctive shape of the Jura bottle to visually communicate a taste of the flavours that consumers could expect to discover within.

The illustrations led the direction of the campaign for a UK and European-wide launch. The designs were translated, adapted and implemented in to installations throughout the UK and Europes major cities. Now a key part of the Jura brand toolkit, the illustrations have since been applied across a wide variety of brand collateral, from seasonal promotions to limited edition bottle designs.
